LSAT Update – October 11, 2024

Welcome to the LSAT Update, your source for the latest news you can use about the LSAT!

Getting Ready for the November 2024 LSAT!

If you’re registered for the November 2024 LSAT, scheduling will open on Tuesday, October 22. As has been reported by the media recently, there has been a rise in demand for the fall LSAT, and the November LSAT is in line to become the largest administration in four years.

With the high volume of test takers, we will continue to use staggered scheduling to minimize wait times during scheduling. We invite you to take a look at the scheduling windows so that you can plan ahead as you prepare to schedule your testing day and time. Keep in mind that even with staggered scheduling, it is highly likely that there will be some wait time.

Keep an eye out for upcoming emails with directions on how and when to schedule your November LSAT.

Score Release for the October 2024 LSAT

Scores from the October 2024 LSAT are scheduled to be released on October 23. We would like to remind you that you must have an approved LSAT Argumentative Writing sample on file — either from the October 2024 LSAT or an LSAT Argumentative Writing or LSAT Writing sample from a previous test — to receive your score. Your score will not be released to you or to schools if you do not have an approved writing sample on file.

Update on MacOS Sequoia

Apple Inc. announced its release of the MacOS 15 Sequoia system on Monday, September 16. Prometric has been working on a solution for MacOS Sequoia, and we will update November 2024 LSAT test takers on the compatibility of MacOS Sequoia to the ProProctor live proctoring software.

Currently, the ProProctor live software is only compatible with Microsoft or MacOS 10.13 to 12.6.5; MacOS Ventura 13.3.1 or higher; and all versions of MacOS Sonoma.

Should any changes arise, we will be updating all LSAT registrants. Stay tuned!
