LSAT Update – December 11, 2024
Welcome to the LSAT Update, your source for the latest news you can use about the LSAT!
Scheduling for the January 2025 LSAT
Due to the Christmas holiday, scheduling for the January 2025 LSAT will open on Tuesday, December 17 for most test takers. Keep an eye out for scheduling instructions to be sent via email on that date.
To help January test takers in planning their test day, we have published the scheduling itinerary for the January administration.
If you want to test at a test center, scheduling will close on Wednesday, January 8. If you want to test in the online, remote-proctored environment, scheduling will close on Sunday, January 12. Remember that spaces fill up, so if you want to test a specific day and time, be sure to schedule your test session as soon as possible.
Also, if you’re planning to take the January 2025 LSAT, note that LSAT Argumentative Writing opens on Tuesday, January 7. If you do not have a approved LSAT Argumentative Writing or LSAT Writing sample from a previous administration, you’re going to need to complete LSAT Argumentative Writing in order to have your score released to you, or the schools you apply to. Score release for the January 2025 LSAT is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5.
Registration Deadline for the February 2025 LSAT
Registration for the February 2025 LSAT is currently open, but the registration deadline is quickly approaching. You can register for the February 2025 LSAT until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24.
Contrary to other administrations through the testing cycle, the February 2025 will be administered for only two days on February 7 and February 8.
Keep in mind that the deadline to request testing accommodations for the February 2025 LSAT is also Tuesday, December 24. LSAC is committed to providing necessary testing accommodations for the LSAT® and LSAT Argumentative WritingSM to candidates with documented disabilities. These policies and guidelines apply to both remote and in-person testing.
Please review all information on this page if you feel you need to request accommodations. It is important to review this information carefully and check this website often for any updates.
We encourage you to submit your request and all required documentation well in advance of the registration deadline. For the January 2025 LSAT, it is particularly important to make your request as early as possible since the holiday season is quickly approaching.
LSAT-Puerto Rico is coming up!
The LSAT-Puerto Rico, which is administered in Spanish and accepted at the three ABA-approved law schools in Puerto Rico, is scheduled for Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 22.
The deadline to register for the LSAT-Puerto Rico is Tuesday, January 7. This date also marks the deadline to request testing accommodations.
