The Director of Admissions and Diversity Initiatives reports to the Asst. Dean, JD Admissions and Financial Aid.

Cornell Law School seeks a Director of Public Service and Community Engagement to serve as an integral member of the Career Development Office, supporting student and alumni career goals with a focus on experiential public interest opportunities. In particular, the Director supports all current students and alumni who seek to incorporate public interest and to address access to justice issues into their legal careers.

The Assistant Director of Admissions will serve as an integral part of the admissions team that supports the established enrollment goals for the School of Law. The primary responsibility associated with this position is prospective applicant and admitted student recruitment. This position will serve as the first point of contact for recruiting prospective students and will have significant duties and responsibilities representing the School of Law at local, regional and national recruiting events.

Summary

The Director for Public Sector Careers will design and implement a comprehensive career development program for students pursuing opportunities within government agencies and the judiciary. The Director also will design and implement a state and federal judicial clerkship application and advising program in collaboration with the faculty judicial clerkship committee.
