Summary of Position

Reporting to the Associate Dean and Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management, the Assistant/Associate Director works closely with the entire enrollment team and both current and prospective student populations. This role serves as a public representative of Hofstra Law School to key constituents nationwide and assists in managing the admissions process.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates reports for admissions, the Hofstra University community, and external accreditation agencies.
  • Manages all electronic correspondence with prospective and current students regarding admissions.
  • Attends information and educational programs related to admissions.
  • Serves as a liaison between the law school and campus offices, including Information Technology, Development, Student Accounts, Student Employment, and Residential Life, on admissions-related matters.
  • Manages the law school’s social media networks, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Evaluates admission files for an applicant pool of over 2,500 candidates.
  • Recruits transfer, international LL.M., and J.D. students.
  • Attends seasonal evening and weekend events as required. 
  • Travels domestically and occasionally internationally for recruitment and admissions events.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education Required: Bachelor’s
Education Preferred: JD
