Correcting Your LSAC.org Account

With the exception of address changes, biographical data changes cannot be made by telephone. To request that LSAC update the name, date of birth, or Social Security/Insurance number associated with your account, use the LSAC Biographical Information Changes form (PDF).

All corrections to the file must bear your signature. All requests must also include a copy of your ID for verification purposes. Requests received without a copy of your ID will not be processed. Common forms of acceptable identification to update your name or date of birth information include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • passport book
  • passport card
  • driver’s license
  • state or province-issued ID card
  • US military ID card (Common Access Card or CAC)
  • US Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
  • Canadian permanent resident card
  • national ID card
  • consular ID card
  • certain Canadian health care benefit cards

Social Security/Insurance number change requests must also include a copy of your SSN/SIN card for verification purposes.

Send the signed form and a copy of your ID to LSAC in one of the following ways:

Scan and Email: LSACbio@LSAC.org

Postal Mail:
662 Penn Street

LSAC may ask you to provide additional documentation to support your biographical data change.

Corrections Made by LSAC

If LSAC becomes aware of a discrepancy in your file, you will be notified by email or postal mail. A reporting hold may be placed on your file, which will prevent all reporting to you and to law schools until the matter is resolved.

LSAC reserves the right to update your biographical data based on information you provide in connection with the LSAC services you use.

Please Note

  1. Information you provide through electronic law school applications does not update your LSAC.org account.
  2. All requested corrections must bear your signature.
