Law Student for a Day is a program organized by H.T. Smith Black Law Student Association at FIU  and funded by Discovery Law. This is a great opportunity for students in the area, especially underprivileged youth, that may be interested in Law. Students will be exposed to the Law school and take a few small classes on topics such as: Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law, Immigration Law, Intellectual Property, and others. Students will also participate in an interactive mock-trial where they will be judges, defense, and the state. Students will learn about a specific area of criminal procedure and will be allowed to talk and share their thoughts regarding the law and policy. Students will eat with current las students and have an opportunity to ask questions regarding higher education, law school, and any other relevant topic.
