Law Student for a Day is a program organized by H.T. Smith Black Law Student Association at FIU and funded by the Law School Admission Council's Diversity Matters initiative (designed to expose students to the area of law). This is a great opportunity for students in the area, especially underprivileged youth, who may be interested in this field. Students will be exposed to the law school and take a few small classes on topics such as constitutional law, contracts, criminal law, immigration law, and intellectual property. They may also get the chance to participate in a mini mock trial.
