Daniel Santos Diversity Speaker Series

Thursday, October 11, 2018, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. EDT
Willamette University Cat Cavern
Salem, OR

The Daniel Santos Diversity Speaker Series is an event hosted by the Latinx Law Student Association that brings diverse individuals in the legal profession to the Willamette community. The goal of the series is to create a dialogue between the greater Willamette community and leaders from diverse backgrounds. Last year, the program was able to bring the women of the Oregon Supreme Court to speak on campus. This year, we are planning on having a special speaker, Rocky Barilla, talk about the role he played in getting Oregon labeled as a sanctuary state and what will need to happen to keep it that way. The vision of the Latinx Law Student Association is to create a space for historically underrepresented communities in Salem to learn and be inspired by empowered and diverse leaders in the legal field.
