An impressive group of nationally recruited experts will be answering the question: “What place does lawyering hold in this moment of grand social transformation?”

Panelists include:

  • Dr. Jodie Roure of John Jay College of Criminal Justice
  • Tyler Crawford, Director of Mass Defense for the National Lawyers Guild
  • Movement Lawyer Carlton Williams
  • Professor Jennifer Levi, Director of GLAD’s Transgender Rights Project and a Professor of Law at WNE

The panel will be moderated by Kylar Broadus, a trans rights activist who founded the Trans People of Color Coalition in 2010.

Registration is required. The panel is sponsored by the Center for Social Justice, Diversity and Outreach Committee, Law School Admission Council, Fair Housing and Civil Rights Conference, Hurricane Maria Assistance and Relief Institution Alliance Corp., Diversity Prelaw Pipeline Program, and Office of the Provost Yi Li at John Jay College.
