The Black Law Student Association (BLSA) at South Texas College of Law Houston invites high school students from Jack Yates High School to experience our one-day Diversity Matters program.
In an effort to diversify the legal field. BLSA members would like to engage the high students with an interactive program to give them an understanding as to why their presence is needed within the legal community as they consider their various career paths. Our goal is to reach out to minority students as freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors and begin an open dialogue on how the law affects them while creating mentoring opportunities with current law students and local professionals in the legal field.
Students will be bused to our campus and breakfast and lunch will be provided.
