LSAT Inbox — September 19, 2024

Welcome to the LSAT Inbox! This is a blog series that answers frequently asked questions about the LSAT®. We encourage you to check back often for answers to more questions you may have as you prepare for the test.

I would like to change my October 2024 LSAT registration to a future administration. Will I receive a full refund if I complete this before September 30, 2024?

LSAT registrations may be moved to a future open administration in alignment with the deadlines and fees associated with each administration. For the October 2024 LSAT, the deadline for a test date change at no charge and a full refund was on August 29, 2024. You will not receive a refund if you decide to change your test administration after this date. Please review the October 2024 LSAT Important Dates and Deadlines for additional information regarding the October 2024 LSAT and test date change deadlines for future LSAT administrations.

Is my October 2024 LSAT scheduled with the information I provided during my registration?

Registration and scheduling are two different processes. During your registration, you were asked to provide your testing preferences. This is used for planning purposes and does not schedule your test.

Once scheduling opens, you will need to schedule the time and modality (remote or in person) in which you will take the LSAT. During scheduling, your initial preferences can be changed. Scheduling for the October LSAT is now open.

How do I schedule my test? What do I need to complete this process?

Scheduling for the October 2024 LSAT opened on September 17, 2024, and is being offered on a staggered schedule.

You will need your eligibility number to schedule your test. Your eligibility number can be found directly in your LSAC JD account under LSAT/The LSAT/LSAT Status: View All LSAT Information. Please also make sure to review How to Schedule Your LSAT Testing Time for some helpful steps during your scheduling process.

I am no longer seeing my scores for my previous LSAT(s). What happened?

Is it likely that you tested during the 2018-2019 testing cycle, and the LSAT score(s) and LSAT Writing sample from this time period are no longer reportable. If this is the case, you will need to complete a new LSAT Argumentative Writing sample if you choose to retake the LSAT. Otherwise your score(s) will be on hold.
