In addition to the above, Associate Director responsibilities include:

·                     Ensure compliance in the packaging and timely disbursement of funds, including processing financial aid appeals, monitoring Satisfactory Academic Progress, and completing R2T4 calculations.

·                     Partner with the Director of Financial Aid in running UVA Law’s Virginia Loan Forgiveness Program.

·                     Conduct student loan entrance and exit counseling sessions and assist with group presentations and webinars.

·                     Provide personalized, individual counseling to students on financial issues such as budgeting, loan repayment, and overall financial literacy.

Education and Professional Experience:

Candidates for the Assistant Director

·                     Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of higher education financial aid experience; relevant experience can substitute for the degree.

Candidates for the Associate Director

·                     Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of progressively responsible higher education financial aid experience.

Additional Minimum Experience:

·                     Demonstrated knowledge of federal Title IV financial aid programs, awarding eligibility requirements, and supporting regulations.
