Summary of Position

Elon Law’s Flex Program is a part-time JD program for working professionals and other place-bound students in Charlotte, NC. Located at Elon University’s Charlotte Campus, the Staff Director will assist law school leadership in managing the Flex Program and the day-to-day operation of the program. Importantly, the Staff Director must be on-site, in the Elon Charlotte facility, when Flex Program Students are in session, which will largely be in the evening and occasionally over the weekend. The Staff Director should anticipate some responsibilities during the day, as well. Other duties include serving as the primary presence on behalf of the law school; serving as a point of contact for law school partners in Charlotte; helping students navigate the program; connecting students to other units within the school; admissions outreach; participating and supporting Elon Law events in Charlotte; supporting faculty who are teaching courses and staff who are providing services in Charlotte. Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

  • Assist law school leadership in managing the Flex Program and the day-to-day operation of the program, including staffing and managing the physical facilities and addressing operational issues, including technology, in consultation with other law school and university administrators 
  • Serve as the primary presence on behalf of the law school: serving as a point of contact for law school partners in Charlotte; helping students navigate the program; connecting students to other units within the school 
  • Support admissions efforts, including welcoming admissions visitors to the site and supporting admissions events; support Elon Law events in Charlotte 
  • Support faculty who are teaching courses and staff who are providing services (e.g., Career, Academic Success, Library, etc.) in Charlotte 

 

Education Preferred: Bachelor’s
Years of Experience Required: 3-5 years in an educational or office setting
