Summary of Position
JD and non-JD admissions activities, including: becoming fluent in the admissions criteria, goals, and requirements and for the J.D. and non-JD degree programs; assisting prospective students with questions about all aspects of the admissions process;. conducting preliminary review of applications for admission; interviewing applicants and making recommendations for admission and/or scholarship awards; processing, updating, and maintaining of JD and non-JD applicant and student files using LSAC Unite; coordinate with UFIC on I-20 requests for non-resident aliens; complete administrative and clerical tasks as needed
JD and non-JD recruiting activities, including: meeting with applicants and admitted students to cultivate interest in UF Law and answer questions about the application process; communicating with prospective students, applicants, and admitted students using a variety of media, including webinars and public speaking in front of large groups; and coordinating alumni, student, and faculty matching programs; representing UF Law at off-campus recruiting events nationwide, as needed; regularly monitoring law school news to maintain a recruitment manual that highlights the law school’s achievements, benefits, rankings, awards, initiatives, etc,; conceptualize and plan on-campus and virtual recruitment events in coordination with College of Law events team;
The College of Law is rapidly changing and evolving. All staff members are expected to assist with other duties as needed, including duties throughout the entire law school campus.
