Summary of Position

We are excited to announce that our Dean has approved a succession plan for the JD Admissions Office and that we are seeking to hire an Assistant Dean for JD Admissions. As some of you know, Renee Post transitioned to the role of Senior Associate Dean for Enrollment, and I plan to begin phased retirement in two years. We look forward to bringing a new team member on board to lead the JD Admissions team.

The Assistant Dean of JD Admissions articulates and implements a vision of existing and potential opportunities to recruit exceptionally talented students to The University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School’s JD program. The Assistant Dean of JD Admissions (“Assistant Dean”) develops recruitment and matriculation strategies that demonstrate imagination and creativity, using the Law School’s distinctive strengths to attract and enroll JD classes of 240-250 students annually. 

Reporting to the Associate Dean for Strategic Enrollment and working closely with the Dean, faculty, and JD Admissions staff colleagues, the Assistant Dean manages a staff of talented admissions colleagues and collaborates with the Assistant Dean of Financial Aid to build and enroll exceptional classes to the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
